Professional Information: Dr. Jackson earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas and his M.D. degree at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, Columbia , Missouri . He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas . Dr. Jackson completed a one year Spine Fellowship program at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Jackson is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

In 1979 Dr. Jackson came to Kansas City as the first fellowship trained spine surgeon to practice in the area. His special interests lie in the treatment of scoliosis, kyphosis, flatback deformities, spondylolisthesis, disorders of the lumbar spine and spinopelvic alignment and balance problems.

A significant part of Dr. Jackson's practice involves research. Throughout the years, Dr. Jackson's studies have been published and presented internationally. Through his studies, better surgical techniques have been developed and validated. Dr. Jackson's patients have benefited from these research efforts, as well as patients around the world.
