Barry W. Following completion of his Orthopaedic Surgical Training in the Gallie Program at the U of T, he did post graduate spinal surgery training in Toronto and in Minneapolis. He received his fellowship in 1977, and began active practice in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1978 at the Toronto East General and Orthopaedic Hospital where his practice consisted of trauma and general orthopaedics with sub specialization in spinal surgery. He moved to Toronto Hospital in 1995 whilst doing an Executive MBA at the University of Toronto. There he was medical director of Rehabilitation Solutions. He is currently on the active staff of the Holland Orthopaedic & Arthritic Centre of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre; Part-Time Medical Director of the Working Condition Program and SCIL; and he is on the consulting staff of the new Women's College Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor, in the Department of Surgery at the U of T. His current clinical practice is confined to the evaluation, and non-surgical treatment of patients with spine diseases/disorders and their associated disabilities; and teaching at the U of T's undergraduate and postgraduate levels in spine-related problems. |
